Seton Hall Baseball has had an exciting week! Congratulations to the Pirates in winning the 2011 BIG EAST Championship. We are truly proud of all our baseball student-athletes and coaches, plus the alumni, parents and friends who have supported them over the years.

As the Pirates get set to travel to College Station, TX where they will play Arizona in the first round of the NCAA Regional's, we wanted to remind you of another way you can support Seton Hall Baseball as the program seeks to build on their recent success.

Each year, as opportunities present themselves, the Pirate Blue Athletic Fund raises funds for special projects identified as priorities by the Department of Athletics. These enhancements represent investments over and above the normal operating budget for a particular sport and signify an ongoing commitment to growth and excellence.

Over the past several years, upgrades have been made to our baseball facilities, including the addition of synthetic field turf and lighting to Owen T. Carroll Field, remodeling to the indoor batting cages and new coaches' offices for the entire staff. All of these facility enhancements have had a profound impact on the overall athletic experience for the young men who are a part of our baseball program.

Our next project is critically important to improving the program as we have plans to install a new state of the art LED Scoreboard to Owen T. Carroll Field by the fall of 2011. Already we have raised over half of the $220k goal for this project and we are in need of your help.

We all want to be part of something big, something permanent. Join hundreds of other baseball alumni, parents and friends and deliver the winning hit to help make a difference in the future of Seton Hall Baseball. You're up to bat and we want you to swing for the fences!
